Clinical Training

Clinical training is learning which takes place in a clinical setting with patients present. Students observe and conduct consultations under the supervision of their clinical tutor who is an experienced herbalist.

Clinical training also includes discussion and analysis by students and their supervisors of case history taking, diagnosis, communication, case management and therapeutics, based on the cases students see.

In training clinics, consultations are taken by student herbalists under the supervision of a qualified and experienced clinical tutor. A small group of up to eight other students observe patient consultations. Consultations and medicines are generally offered to patients at reduced cost.
