How to Join NIMH

If you have graduated from a NIMH or EHTPA accredited programme in Western Herbal Medicine, you can download a Request for NIMH Application Pack here.

You can also request an application if you have been a member of NIMH in the past, left in good standing, and wish to re-join.  (Note that past members whose membership lapsed within the past 2 years should contact the NIMH office directly as full re-application may not be necessary.)

Your Request for an Application pack for NIMH Membership should be sent to NIMH, Clover House, James Court, South Street, Exeter, EX1 1EE.  Note that NIMH is waiving the fee for this for 2013, and newly qualified applicants who have graduated within the last two years from an accredited programme are never required to pay an application fee.

Please note that eligibility to apply does not guarantee membership to NIMH as there are a number of other factors that are considered during the application process.

Special Note:  NIMH is currently developing a method to consider applicants who have not graduated from an accredited course.  If you would like to be considered for membership once this work is completed, you are invited to write to NIMH Admissions Board outlining your background and qualifications.  You should pay special attention to the current application process, NIMH’s policy on Fitness to Practice, and consider carefully whether you can demonstrate through your education and experience that you meet NIMH-Key-Skills-EHTPA-CC-Summary1.
