We will be starting our walk in the car park of Spalding Lifestyle and Gardening Centre, adjacent to Johnson Community Hospital. We request that you arrive 10-15 minutes before we start so that we are able to get everyone signed in, in order to get a prompt start.
The walk will take about two hours and is approximately 2 miles long. The route is varied and will combine the peace and tranquillity of off street public footpaths and cycleway, alongside water courses, through wooded areas, and a wild flower meadow, combined with busy roadside footpaths. As we travel through this varied landscape we will point out a variety of different plants and trees that have medicinal uses and explain how we use them in modern day Western herbalism and what we use them for.
As described, the walk will take us over many different types of terrain. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing on the day, reflecting whatever our beautiful British weather has to offer us!
Tickets are £10 per person which will include a handout for you all to take home
