New Herbal Medicine Week Events added
STOP PRESS – ADDITIONAL WALK LEYTON
Our herb walk will be on Saturday 20 June at 2pm Meet in the cafe at the Waterworks Nature Reserve, Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, E10. Meet in the cafe at the reserve at 1.45pm for prompt start at 2pm. Walk to last approximately 1 hour looking at common wild plants with medicinal uses. Terrain: long grass so appropriate footwear needed. Leaders: Gail Farrow and Elsa Hamaz, local herbalists. Up Westerfield Road starting outside the Woolpack pub, ending with a woodland walk and herbal tea in "the spinney".

Midsummer Magic and Medicine
Tuesday 23rd June 7pm
Come and celebrate midsummer and join Mary Tassell qualified Medical Herbalist on a gentle stroll though the beautiful woodland area of the Durham University Botanic Garden. Hear about the folklore and traditional medicinal uses of many local trees and plants.
The walk should last approximately 1½ hours. Meet in the Botanic Garden carpark on Hollingside Lane, 6.50pm for a 7pm start.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Mary is doing this walk as part of the Herbal Medicine Awareness Week.
Cost: The event is free to season ticket holders, Friends of the Garden and Campus card holders. For all others the normal garden entrance charge will apply.
